Be part of Something Has To Happen – apply by 6 January 2020!

Short Form Work

We’re looking for up to 6 pieces of short form (up to 20 minutes long) performances for our opening and closing nights! These can be from any artform (theatre, music, dance, film, comedy, etc) and can be anything from a scratchy try-out of a new idea to a fully developed piece or set.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from D/deaf artists and artists of colour. Each piece will receive a performance fee of £100.

To apply, please email info@workerstheatre.co.uk with an outline of your piece – this can be in whatever way best represents your work (written, video, audio recording etc), and with details of any technical set-up you might need. Please send this to us by 5pm on 6 January 2020.

New/Unproduced Scripts

We’re also looking for new/unproduced Fringe-length scripts with a maximum cast size of 4 to present at a rehearsed reading/script-in-hand performance at the festival. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from D/deaf artists and artists of colour. Writers will receive a fee of £100 alongside cast members and director for a day’s rehearsal ahead of the festival sharing.

To apply, please email your script alongside information about where you are currently based, and any access requirements, to info@workerstheatre.co.uk by 5pm on 6 January 2020.
